Mitchell Tax Advocacy, LLC is an independent company whose purpose is to assist taxpayers in preparing their tax returns, resolving any issues that they may encounter with filing their taxes, and in dealing with the Internal Revenue Service.
Jeffrey Mitchell joined the IRS in 1988 as a Tax Auditor after serving 5 years as a U.S. Naval officer. Following 13 years in Office Audit, he was promoted to Case Advocate with the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service where he served for the remaining 10 years of his 23-year IRS career.
During his career, Mr. Mitchell achieved the equivalent of an accounting degree in addition to his earlier BA in Psychology. At IRS he earned many awards for superior performance while also serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Ready Reserves. He retired from federal service in 2011 as an Enrolled Agent to assist taxpayers as their representative in the private sector.
